DAMBULLA
Is a vast isolated rock mass 500ft high and a mile around the base. Here is found the famous Rock Temple dating to the 1st century B.C. The caves of Dambulla sheltered the King Walagamba during his 14 years of exile from Anuradhapura. When he regained the throne, he built the most magnificent of Rock Temples to be found one the Island.
Royal Botanical Garden – Peradeniya
147 acres in extent; started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the Kings of Gampola and Kandy. There are more than 500 species of trees, plants and creepers. Some rare and endemic as well as flora from the tropical world are found in the gardens. Spice Garden and Orchid House are popular with tourists.
GALLE
One of the most interesting cities in Sri Lanka. It use to be our major national port until the late 19th century. Galle is famous for its well preserved 17th century Dutch built Fort, The journey to Galle is along the palm fringed southern coastal belt passing Hikkaduwa with it’s incredibly beautiful Coral Gardens and exotic tropical fish as well as Ambalangoda, famous for it’s Mask makers and another interesting place to visit is the Turtle Hatchery.
Hunas Falls
A fantastic birding destination with more than 70 species recorded around the hotel such as Golden-fronted Leafbird, Indian Scimitar Babbler and Hill Myna. Birdwatchers could see five of the 23 endemic birds of Sri Lanka.

NEGOMBO
A famous fishing village North of Colombo, with a Dutch built canal. The canal itself is a hive of activity with fishermen traveling up and down in their gaily-painted boats. On the shore of the canal you will find many homes and churches and many species of birds, including spectacular Kingfishers.
Catamaran trips in the sea and boat trips in canal can be organized. From November to April, diving facilities are available in this quaint village. The streets on either side of the Hotels are dotted with Souvenir shops, Restaurants etc.
KANDY
No visit to Sri Lanka is complete without a visit to Kandy, the ancient hill capital and domain of the last king of Sri Lanka.

Situated at an elevation of 488 meters, Kandy is rich in tradition and is the spiritual home of Sri Lanka. Perhaps best known for it’s Dalada Maligawa, the temple that houses the tooth relic of Buddha, Kandy is also a popular stop during July / August. During this time the city takes on a carnival atmosphere for the annual perahera, when the tooth relic is paraded around the city in a procession that includes, among others, approximately more than 100 elephants, traditional dancers and drummers.
